A Bit About My Journey

How I Got Here:

A combination of European primary school years, a North American high school, two post-secondary degrees and a teaching gig in Europe landed me here, where I have cultivated a desire and passion for supporting learning across all paths. What I Know:

I have a total of 14 years of teaching experience and a combined 6 years of experience as a special education teacher and Resource Teacher. I have had the opportunity to work in language schools (local and international), brick and mortar classrooms and online distributed learning schools. My audience has varied and has included professionals, primary and secondary students as well as students with special needs.

I have experience in the following areas:

  • Curriculum planning and development
  • Assessments – reviews, recommendations
  • Development of training and teaching methods
  • Learner identification + application of appropriate methods of instruction
  • Development (if necessary) of IEPs along with services assessment, implementation and supervision
  • In collaboration with teachers and parents, support and monitoring of student progress towards IEP gaols
  • Playing a crucial role communicating needs and services and accommodations to staff and parents.
